For over 30 years, Dr. Amelia Fairfax has been the kind of family doctor patients trust with everything—from everyday concerns to "just in case" moments before a trip.
After thousands of visits, she noticed a pattern: families preparing for travel often needed the same essentials—something for infections, nausea, allergies, or unexpected mishaps. The requests were always thoughtful, but last-minute and piecemeal.
One evening, while packing for her own family's beach trip, she had a simple idea: What if every family could travel with a doctor-curated medical kit, designed for their specific plans?
Favorite Family Doc was born from that idea—bringing the convenience of preparation and the reassurance of physician-guided care into one thoughtfully assembled kit. Each one is created with the same question Dr. Fairfax has always asked: What would I want my own family to have on hand?

Dr. Amelia Fairfax is a board-certified family physician who has spent her career doing what she loves most: caring for families through every chapter of life. From routine wellness visits to managing chronic conditions, she brings warmth, thoroughness, and a deep personal investment to every patient relationship.
After more than three decades in clinical practice along the Carolina coast, she founded Favorite Family Doc to extend that same trusted care beyond the office walls. When she's not curating kits or reviewing health questionnaires, you'll find her walking the beach with her Yorkie, tending her garden, or planning the next family adventure.
